A.J. Burnett(1-1) gave a fine effort for Caracas. He went 7 and 2/3 innings allowing 8 hits and 1 walk reducing his ERA from 3.68 to 3.00. Dominican threatened in the 9th but their rally came up short. Billy Wagner earned the save, his 7th. Jeremy Bonderman(0-2) was given the loss. 'We won because we did the little things right.' Alan Dyche said after the game. 'This is why we practice things over and over and over, so when we get in close games we don't make mistakes.'
